  • Business number: the SACCO's paybill, once it opens
  • Account number: your member number with its ending

Paying for: Registration fee

Pay to the right account

Your member number is your M-Pesa account number. A short ending says what the money is for, so the SACCO posts it where you meant.

The registration fee: #REG

Paid once, when the SACCO admits you: Ksh 1,000. It is a fee, not savings or shares.

Share capital: #SHR

One share is Ksh 100; every member holds at least 60. Buy them at your own pace.

Savings: no ending

Money sent to your member number alone goes to your monthly savings.

A loan repayment: #LOAN

Pays your oldest open loan. The member portal shows each instalment and what is still owed.

Your wallet: #WAL

Money you can move to your savings or a loan from the portal, or ask to take out.

One member, one vote

Members own the SACCO together and elect the committee that runs it. Whether you hold the minimum or ten times as many shares, your vote at the general meeting counts the same.
